In recent years, electronics the world over has made unprecedented growth in terms of new technologies, new ideas and principles. The rate of obsolescence of technologies also has been extremely high. Researchers, academicians, industries and the society at large have to work in unison to meet the challenges of the rapidly growing discipline. The research organizations and industries that work in this frontier area are in need of highly skilled and scientifically oriented manpower. This manpower can be available only with flexible, adaptive and progressive training programs and a cohesive interaction among the research organizations, academicians and industries. The Department of Electronic Science at MRK Institute of Engineering and Technology has been consistently working towards this goal.

The Electronics engineering, deals with the application of electronics in the processing of the formation in the fields of communication and control system, electronic computers, industrial electronics and instrumentation. Opportunities for employment exist in public sector and enterprises dealing with design, manufacture and application of electronic devices and equipment, radio and television, communication systems, radar and navigational aids, computer hardware and software, process control etc.

The teaching program contains a proper blend of basic concepts and advances in technology. The faculty has succeeded in keeping a lively atmosphere among the students, with timely up gradations in the curriculum and innovative teaching techniques. The teaching is closely coupled with the research activities of the department. Electronics Department is one of the best departments of our college having well equipped Electronics, Labs. With the latest technology hardware and software, department is unique in the region.

The Department offers both M.Tech and B.Tech programmes to cater the growing demand of Electronics engineering.


Our specialities are Qualified and trained faculty, coaching to students according to lecture and lesson plans. Elective subjects in frontier areas like Artificial Intelligence, Neural Networks, VLSI Design etc offered. Hands on practice for the students in laboratories fully equipped with modern equipments and with the help of well prepared and structured lab manuals. Compulsory industrial training in industry during vacations for all students.

Mini projects done by students as part of curriculum. Major projects done in association with industries & Research organization. Tutorial classes for all analytical subjects .Extra coaching classes other then college hours for weak students. Software facilities to model Circuit Problems, Power System and load flow studies. All student are motivated to attend and conduct seminars, guest lectures, paper presentations, developing models etc. They are encouraged to obtain prizes both inside and outside our college. The department is divided into seven divisions and each division is headed by a division chair (DC); communication and satellite, device and processor division, VLSI division, energy and power division, and power electronics and control engineering division. Our division based modularized organization structure helps monitoring the teaching and laboratory works with utmost care.

Our student’s pursuer enriched educational program that prepare them to meet the challenges of the global technologies society.  A majority of the faculty members are involved in the multidisciplinary research.

The Department has well equipped labs with latest equipments.

Digital electronics lab is an integral part acquainting us about the multiplexer and demultiplexer, encoder and decoder ,flip flop ,counter along with method of simplification of boolean expression using k-map by sop and pos implementation etc.
This lab gives the overview about measuring instruments various device is used such as lvdt rtd, ldr, pressure cell, magnetic pick up which give measurement based on various parameters such as temp, distance, resistance, pressure ,voltage etc.
This lab is based on the study of wave guide of microwave various electronics device such as flanges, directional couplers ,attenuator, circulator ,klystron tube ,tea(h-e), are used .
Aec lab basically deals with study of equipments of cro, multimeter, function generator power supply and components (active and passive) and bread board. In this lab we also concern with pn junction characteristics, half wave rectifier, measurement of vrms, vdc and ripple factor of bjt and frequency response of low pass , high pass and band pass communication system lab The communication system laboratory experiments require the use of different types of signal processing blocks .in comm. System lab overview of analog and digital modulation explained with hardware contraption.
The basics of electronics lab gives an overview of the various tools like cro (cathode ray oscilloscope), function generator, multimeter etc. Used in electronics field along with the basic knowledge of gate, flip flops , op-amp, pn junction diode , power supplies etc.
MES LAB (Micro controller and embedded system)
This lab is provide programming of micro controller and embedded system perform the experiment with the help of 8051 micro controller and pic micro controller such as to implement the the program of led blinking using 8051 micro controller
