CAREER PROSPECTS

The aforementioned are the conventional roles and responsibilities of mechanical engineers. However, times have changed. Nowadays the scope of mechanical engineering is expanding beyond its traditional boundaries. Mechanical engineers are focusing their attention towards new areas of research such as nanotechnology, development of composite materials, biomedical applications, environmental conservation, etc.

The ever increasing scope of this particular job profile now requires professionals to get into financial and marketing aspects of product development and even into people and resource management. All in all mechanical engineering offers a wide bouquet of job options to students who are looking for a stable and stimulating career.

The university has approved M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering in the college in regular mode. The course duration is of 2 years. The number of seats available is 18.

FROM H.O.D DESK

The Mechanical Department is committed to fostering a stimulating intellectual environment in which both faculty and students excel in teaching and learning.

The objective is execution of all the routine activities as per three fundamental principles of human knowledge: “Lead me from Darkness to Light” (tamaso ma jyotirgamaya); “Lead me from Falsehood to Truth” (asato ma sad gamaya); and “Lead me from Mortality to Immortality” (mrityor ma amritamgamaya).

MRKIET concentrate on providing theoretical as well as practical knowledge.Emphasis is on communication skills, creativity, leadership, and innovation to make our students capable of undertaking responsibilities. Value added courses have been made regular feature of our system to fulfill today’s demand of the corporate world. These efforts go a long way in making the students desirable and employable.
